Apollo: Greek god of the arts, archery, artisans, prophecy, and later, the sun. He was said to pull the sun across the sky with his chariot twice a day, thus bringing day and night. Handsome and talented, he invented dance and music, and is the twin brother of Artemis. Apollo became the force behind the Oracle of Delphi; he blessed a woman with the ablitiy to see the future. There were other oracles, of course, but the Oracle of Delphi was the most famous. His symbols are the lyre, the laurel tree, the sun, and occasionally, a golden bow. His animal is the mouse, who runs unseen and overhears everything.
